How the mic prevents feedback
01
Unidirectional polar pattern

Picks up sound from the front direction only, naturally attenuating side and rear speaker output. This breaks the feedback loop at the source — no DSP required.

02
Balanced sensitivity selection

Target: -34dB ~ -66dB. Lower sensitivity reduces feedback risk by requiring closer speaking distance. Higher sensitivity options are suitable for megaphones and voice amplifiers where some distance is needed.

03
Frequency shaping

Optimized frequency response with attenuated high-frequency peaks. Reduces sharp resonant frequencies that cause squealing while maintaining clear voice intelligibility.

04
Dynamic vs Electret selection

Dynamic mics offer the strongest feedback rejection due to naturally lower sensitivity. Unidirectional electret mics provide cost-effective solutions for voice amplifiers and megaphones.

Factory selection standard
Parameter Requirement Why It Matters
Polar Pattern Unidirectional — No omnidirectional Omni picks up speaker output from all directions — guaranteed to howl
Sensitivity -34dB to -66dB Lower sensitivity = less feedback risk
Frequency Response 100Hz ~ 12kHz, attenuated high-frequency peaks Reduces sharp resonant frequencies that cause squealing
SNR ≥ 58dB Ensures clean voice extraction from noise floor
